KAJA Gallery

Located in the heart of Southampton, New York, KAJA Gallery is dedicated exclusively to the photography of Kathy Howard Jacobson. The gallery presents a rotating selection of works that offer visitors the opportunity to experience an evolving body of work that explores New York’s streets, its people, and the energy that moves through its neighborhoods.Through documentary observation and a deep appreciation for visual composition, Jacobson’s photographs reveal unexpected beauty within the urban landscape that shapes everyday life.

We invite visitors to discover the collection and return throughout the year as new works are introduced.

My photos reflect my decades-long interest in photographing urban surfaces, my attraction to what I refer to as
“the beauty in details unseen,” and my love of photojournalism.

OUR MISSION

KAJA Gallery was created to provide a home for the photography of Kathy Howard Jacobson. Bringing together works from across her extensive archive and current practice, the gallery offers a focused and intimate environment in which to engage with her artistic vision.

The selection of works displayed rotates throughout the year, presenting photographs from different periods of Jacobson’s career and highlighting the breadth of her visual storytelling. Through these changing installations, visitors can experience both the continuity and evolution of her practice, which has remained firmly grounded in photography.
